It was an excellent experience from beginning to end.  Jeremy came out for an estimate and provided options (like the under decking system) that we had not even considered.  We received our quote promptly and were impressed that his pricing for the job was very fair.  The construction process went very well. The crew was here everyday and clearly was focused on doing a quality job.  I was extremely happy with how the project was managed with everything we had discussed being done without any reminders from us.  Overall, the deck came out beautifully and has made a huge difference over our previous deck.  During the whole process Jeremy and his crew were very conscientious making sure that the work site was kept clean and responsive when there were clarification questions.  We couldn’t be any happier with the overall job.

They rebuilt our existing deck replacing wood decking and railings with Trex and PVC Railing.  They also installed an under decking system to keep the patio under the deck dry.  In addition they replaced wood railing on the front porch with iron railing.

First of all, I have to say that we interviewed quite a few builders prior to meeting Jeremy, and he was very professional and a great listener and really took the aesthetics of our entire backyard into consideration.  He offered suggestions that we would have never thought of and our deck turned out to be not only perfect for our needs, but absolutely beautiful!  It actually compliments the architecture of the back of our house…and looks like it was “meant” to be there.

Jeremy was also beyond patient with us–mostly because of our HOA…their timing to approve our deck (they lost our paper work not once, but twice) was “the” longest wait Jeremy has had to endure–and he didn’t skip a beat working with the schedule.  His crew had to work on our deck during a heat wave–dangerous heat–and not only were they attentive and careful and meticulous–but Jeremy showed up with a cooling fan and took great care of them (as did we–keeping them hydrated).  They cleaned the area every time before leaving for the day and showed up on time and were very respectful of our pets and family–it was a GREAT experience!  We have had so many crews in our backyard (we built two patios, a wall, and a pool)…and by far Jeremy and his crew certainly receive high marks from us!  He truly cares if you are happy and is probably one of the most attentive builders–with an eye for perfection.  If something is not done to his standards–he corrects it.  It was a pleasure working with him and we truly do respect his work!!

Looking forward to refurbishing our weather worn deck and screened in porch we contacted Jeremy Murphy of JLM Builders. As we were unsure where to begin with renovations, his professional opinion and cost effective advice was appreciated.

By replacing the torn worn out screen panels, attaching vinyl wrap to the outside trip and new door, they completed our renovations with applying weather resistant stain that complemented the existing trim to our home. They turned what had become a backyard eyesore into a beautiful relaxing and inviting area for family and friends.

We appreciated the politeness of the carpenters, the attention to keeping the premises clean and the promptness to which the renovation was completed.

As a single, elderly woman, I find it very difficult to get work done on my house and still feel comfortable with price and the contractors. This is the case with JLM Builders. They all are an extremely conscientious team. No job is too small and they are very responsive to your needs. JLM Builders turned our unusable deck into an area we can enjoy for a long time. We purchased our house a year ago – mainly sold on the view from the balcony. Within the first year our deck became very unstable and were told we couldn’t have more than 10 people on it at a time. Then the boards started splitting, stairs broke, and joist were cracking, we didn’t feel safe to use anymore. We knew it was time for a new deck, so we got several quotes and decided on JLM due to professionalism, price, and schedule. Our balcony and patio are now not only usable but completely transformed our home into something we are so proud of. We couldn’t be happier!

We highly recommend JLM Builders.  We received a timely phone call and got a free estimate with different materials and design options.   Once we made our decision, the work was scheduled and started on time.  The old deck was torn down and hauled away very quickly.  Jeremy, the owner, came by to check on the progress of work and to make sure that we were pleased with the progress of the job.  While talking to us, he came up with an additional design to help provide additional privacy that we really love.  The site was cleaned up every night before the crew left for the day and they made sure that the area was safe which was important to us since we have several dogs.

In addition to re-building the deck, JLM Builders also designed and installed a flagstone walkway and stoop.  The design/layout of the flagstone looks like a piece of art.  The craftsmanship is outstanding and we haven’t seen a walkway quite like the one they designed.

Jeremy was extremely professional and knowledgeable regarding the design and material process.  The crews were also very professional and highly skilled.  It was a pleasure to work with all involved with these two projects.
